Automated Conveying Systems

Move more product, faster — intelligent conveying built around your operation.

Quick Answer

What are Automated Conveying Systems?

Automated conveying systems form the arterial network of high-performance distribution centres and manufacturing facilities. Allied Automation engineers, supplies, and integrates a complete range of conveying technologies — from flat belt and modular belt conveyors to incline/decline systems, spiral conveyors, and overhead power-and-free systems. Every conveyor installation begins with a throughput analysis: modelling carton sizes, weights, speeds, and accumulation requirements before specifying any hardware. Our systems connect seamlessly to sorters, AMRs, pick stations, and packing lines, creating a unified flow that maximises throughput while minimising operator effort. Local technical support, preventive maintenance programmes, and remote monitoring are included in all Allied Automation service agreements.

How It Works

Conveyor design starts with your product matrix — the range of carton sizes, weights, and pack types that must travel the system. We use flow simulation to model peak throughput demand, accumulation zones, and merge/divert points. Hardware selection follows: belt type, drive power, speed ranges, and gapping technology are matched to your specific requirements. Mechanical installation is managed by our in-house project team, followed by electrical commissioning and PLC/SCADA programming. Integration with your WMS or WES enables barcode-triggered routing, scan-and-divert at sort points, and real-time throughput tracking. Training and a documented handover pack are delivered at project close, and ongoing monitoring is provided via our remote operations centre.
